Meet Our Executive Director

Vincent “Vince” Scott

Utilizing his diverse career in R&D, military operations, and information security, Vince currently serves as the Executive Director of SENTIR. Vince assists the SENTIR team build out as an effective organization that conducts leading research while supporting and developing a robust tech economy in Tulsa and the surrounding area.

Vince’s resume is as impressive as it is long. He has 30 years of experience leading local and globally dispersed teams to accomplish challenging objectives in government and industry. Vince earned his Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the US Naval Academy, has completed DoD Acquisition Level II qualification, earned his MS in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland while in the UK, and has earned a graduate certificate in Information Security from the University of Fairfax.  He is a 2012 graduate of the Oklahoma State University Veteran Entrepreneurship Program, is a graduate of the Joint Forces Staff College senior Officer Program for Strategic and Operational Planning. Vince previously served as a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Law and Cyber Warfare. He is a U.S. Navy certified subject matter expert in Information Warfare and Cryptology, a DoD/CNSS certified Information Systems Security Professional (ISSP), Incident Handler Engineer (IHE), and certified Senior Systems Manager (SSM). He is a retired United States Navy Cryptologist who has held roles as a Director in Oklahoma State University Multi Spectral Laboratory, led Procter and Gamble’s global incident response organization, and led PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) national cyber threat intelligence practice. 

Vince’s favorite aspect of his work with SENTIR helping people build new things and to assist new companies in making a difference in people’s lives. When questioned about his attraction to the local tech economy, Vince replied, 

“Oklahoma is a great state that has a large populous of people who get things done. Today a local entrepreneur said, ‘We don’t understand the meaning of no.’ That unwillingness to quit and [the] drive to succeed makes Oklahoma a great place to start a new business — in an environment where you can raise a family and pass a legacy to the future.”

When Vince isn’t working at SENTIR, he’s spending time with his wife, three kids, two dogs, and a cat, and enjoying photography.
